A small but almighty Super Bowl ad sits alongside a branded erotica novel and a pooch's trip to the fun fair in this week's best work
Amidst the celebrity endorsements and huge, big money, big scale productions during the ad breaks of last weekend's Super Bowl was a small, but mighty, five-second, completely static ad.
The truly blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment was actually an ad for Reddit. The past few weeks, in which a section of the Reddit community did a legitimately good job in taking on Wall Street from the comfort of their own homes, showed that powerful things can happen when a passionate crew of people rally around something - be it personal finance, skincare or stonks. Reddit and its agency R/GA California used this as inspiration to create this almighty but tiny Super Bowl spot in just a few days.
It was one of our favourites of the night that hadn't been released prior to the match and is a worthy entrant into this week's Work of the Week. It sits alongside campaigns from the UAE, UK, Malaysia and more.
