Reddit Made a (Static, Five-Second) Super Bowl Ad

ADD TO COLLECTION

R/GA California leans into the platform's recent underdog narrative with a typically unique and stripped-back effort

Reddit Made a (Static, Five-Second) Super Bowl Ad
Reddit’s very first Super Bowl ad - and television commercial, for that matter - aired last night during Q2.

The blink-and-you’ll miss it static ad flashed on screen for mere seconds in what was a pretty unconventional approach to the typically big-budget, flashy commercials we expect during the Big Game.

The past two weeks have shown that powerful things can happen when passionate communities come together around something they care about - be it pets to personal finance, skincare to stonks - and inspired by the power of its online communities, Reddit and R/GA (Reddit’s agency of record) rallied against the odds to make this quirky, uniquely-Reddit spot - that was reportedly created in just a few days.

Check it out below.
