This week sees the launch of "The Creative Festival Guide" mapping international key events of the advertising industry, just as the annual festival circuit gets going. Edited and designed by Parasol Island, the CFG comes as an oversized poster and a website.
Springtime is announcement season for the world's most important creative events, with dates and venues finally revealed – from Miami's ADC Awards in April to Helsinki's Eurobest in December. This is why Parasol Island's Creative Festival Guide sees publication at the same time. The idea of this editorial project is to highlight the most important festivals and award shows worldwide. The result comes as a beautifully designed oversized poster and a matching website.
The Creative Festival Guide focuses on events embracing advertising, film, animation, interactive and digital design. The German-language version of the poster is included in issue 17 of „W&V“, Germany's leading magazine of the advertising industry. There will also be an English-language version, available as a limited edition of 100 prints. Both versions feature artwork designed by Parasol Island's inhouse artist Jonathan Niclaus.
The English-language version of the CFG website has been redesigned and will be continually updated and expanded. It includes Google maps search and allows you to export festival dates to your personal smartphone or desktop calendar.
