Parasol Island hires Bart Hendrikx

Parasol Island continues to strengthen its market position as a creative digital studio with Bart Hendrikx, who is relocating from music agency MassiveMusic in Amsterdam to the digital studio, based in Berlin. Hendrikx will be joining the team as New Business Director and Executive Producer, bringing with him exceptional international expertise in the fields of advertising, TV, film, and digital communication.



 

For the past two-and-a-half years, Hendrikx has been the New Business Manager for MassiveMusic, Amsterdam. He worked from the Amsterdam headquarters but was responsible the whole of Europe.



 

His key activities were penetrating existing advertising markets throughout Europe, the UK promo and to rebrand the TV Market and researching new types of business development.  



 

In doing so, Hendrikx worked directly alongside national and international agencies, British, French and Dutch TV Broadcasters and with brands directly. In the past year, Hendrikx has also been in charge of new business development for the London MassiveMusic office, which opened in November 2011.

 

Hendrikx has previously been involved with countless productions in the US, primarily in Los Angeles, including big-budget productions Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Street Kings for the American Film Studio 20th Century Fox. While working for Fox Television as a Senior Program Coordinator, he was responsible for reality series such as The Simple Life. Using his extensive experience in the American entertainment industry, he founded his own production company, VenSwichFilms, in 2006. Based in Amsterdam with a branch in Los Angeles, he ran the company as owner and Executive Producer for five years.



 

Hendrikx grew up in Venlo, the Netherlands, and in Geilenkirchen, Germany, where his mother worked for NATO for 15 years. With this German background, his interdisciplinary approach and expertise in the fields of Film, TV, Advertising, and digital communication his switch to Parasol Island was a logical step.

At Parasol Island, Bart Hendrikx joins as New Business Director and Executive Producer. He will also take charge of the positioning of the company’s broad product portfolio, expanding in existing markets and tapping into new ones in Germany and the rest of Europe.
