72 Voices was first developed by 72andSunny
Sydney as an unbiased research project featuring interviews with 72
Australian cultural makers, thinkers and commentators. The project was
inspired by being new in the region, and wanting to land, listen and
learn from those shaping the landscape of Modern Australia.
The
second edition, 72 Voices Singapore, is an in-depth exploration of the
new creative class in one of the fastest growing cities in Asia. 72
interviews were conducted with people spanning diverse ages, backgrounds
and industries, who in their own way are helping shape modern Singapore
today.
Available as a book and open-source online report, the artwork was
designed by world-renowned graphic designer David Carson and captures
key themes, comments and opinions taken from the 72 interviews, as well
as portraits of those interviewed taken by Jacqueline Chang, Zara Kok
and Hwee En Tan.

Says
Chris Kay, president and partner, 72andSunny APAC: "We wanted to keep
learning about the world around us and building from the view of Modern
Australia in 2018, it made sense to expand our footprint to one of our
important neighbours in the region. Speaking to this breadth of
inspiring people helps us to understand the modern creative class in
Singapore a little better, and we were inspired by the lessons this can
teach us as we look in, and beyond Australia, with our client partners."
