Sunny Bhurji has been confirmed as the marketing director for ‘Connectivity’ at Sky.  Having previously held the role of marketing director for TV, Sunny’s understanding of the Sky brand means he’s perfectly placed to be able to establish this new Sky opportunity, which combines mobile and broadband for the first time, and take it to market. Under the Connectivity banner, Sky Broadband and Sky Mobile will continue to be two distinct brands, but will have the creative benefit of a combined marketing function, led by Sunny.

Sunny Bhurji, Sky Connectivity marketing director commented, “This is truly a pivotal moment for Sky as we bring together two incredibly successful parts of our business and brands in their own right.  What makes this exciting is to unlock the potential for customer to have a seamless integrated experiences and have some fun and create bold marketing in the process”.

Sky’s new Connectivity team will combine Sky Mobile, the fastest growing mobile provider in the UK, with Sky Broadband, one of the UK’s biggest broadband brands. Sunny will work into Amber Pine, who has been named as the managing director of Connectivity, a new role that will cover all consumer touch points, including commercial and P+L management, propositions, marketing, and product delivery across both product categories.

Sophie Ahmad, chief consumer officer at Sky, commented, “Under Amber and Paul’s leadership, Sky Broadband and Sky Mobile have thrived, with Sky Mobile becoming the fastest growing mobile provider in the UK, and Sky Broadband retaining its steadfast position in the market. The newly combined teams reflect Sky’s focus on connectivity, which is integral to delivering the UK’s connected future both in and out the home. Amber’s broad range of experience means she’s perfectly placed to lead the newly combined team.”

Amber Pine, managing director, Connectivity at Sky, added, “The connectivity market is at a critical juncture, with the roll out and take up of both full fibre and 5G. In tandem, people are consuming more bandwidth and data than ever before, which means delivering best-in-class technology and a seamless connectivity experience is crucial. This, combined with outstanding customer experience, is what we do best at Sky, and I’m excited to be bringing two fantastic teams together to enable this to happen at an even greater scale.”
