BarkleyOKRP brings together a collection of 30 music tracks created entirely by AI

Red Lobster is launching the first-ever campaign dedicated to its iconic Cheddar Bay Biscuits with the help of AI. 'Cheddar Bay-I' is a magical musical medley of love songs (two playlists) supported by social assets that will be posted on YouTube and TikTok. This creative will run concurrently with a :15 TV spot dedicated solely to the biscuits - also a first. 

The campaign, conceived and executed by BarkleyOKRP in partnership with Red Lobster, showcases a collection of 30 music tracks, all of which were created entirely by AI. Dropping in two playlists with 15 tracks each, the chart-worthy songs are musical odes to the beloved biscuits that are baked fresh in-restaurant every 15 minutes, proving, with the right recipe, even AI can be trained to show emotion, specifically love…for Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

When creating the tracks, BarkleyOKRP was inspired by fan love of Red Lobster’s breaded brand treasure. They took an innovative approach to the campaign by utilising Suno, a generative artificial intelligence music creation program designed to generate realistic songs that combine vocals and instrumentation. But they didn’t stop there. Using MidJourney, a generative artificial intelligence program that generates images from natural language descriptions, the team created individual, unique album covers and video artwork for each track. They also tapped into VEED, an AI video editor with auto-subtitle capabilities, to generate tailored lyric videos that pair with each music track.

The playlist includes an array of genres spanning R&B, techno, punk, smooth jazz, rock, and more. From a barbershop quartet number, 'Cheddar Bay Serenade,' and an acoustic folk ballad, 'Mr. Cheddar,' to a '90s Hip-Hop bop, 'Chedda Bay Bouncin’ II' and a country tune, 'Butter Ball,' there is a unique song for every Cheddar Bay Biscuit fan to jam out to!

The Cheddar Bay-I campaign targets Red Lobster’s current and lapsed diners, specifically reminding them how crave-worthy Red Lobster’s biscuits are. The idea for the campaign leans into backing up the Cheddar Bay believers, amplifying their love for the biscuits and proving Red Lobster is the best casual dining opener around.
