14 exceptional young talents are the winners of this year’s prestigious Irish Young Lions competition

The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI), proudly announce the 14 exceptional young talents who are the winners of this year’s prestigious Irish Young Lions competition. After a rigorous selection process, these Young Lions emerged victorious, securing their place to represent Ireland on the global stage at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity set to take place later this year in France.

Competing amongst 105 entries this year, the Irish winners showcased their creativity, skill, and dedication through two intense judging rounds across the seven categories: Design, Digital, Film, Media, PR, Print, and Young Marketers. Their outstanding performances have earned them the title of champions and the opportunity to compete internationally.

The winners demonstrated their ingenuity and passion while working on a brief for this year’s charities - Children in Hospital Ireland and Threshold. Each team of two had 48 hours to respond to a brief for one of the two charities selected this year. Their innovative campaigns not only showcased their creativity but also their commitment to making a lasting impact for these charities.

“The exceptional creativity and dedication showcased by all of the teams in the category was nothing short of amazing. The talent displayed by these young creatives reflects a promising future for the industry. A huge congratulations to the winners. We look forward to welcoming you on board your flight to Cannes in June” said Amy Tumelty, head of social media, Aer Lingus and 2024 Young Lions Sponsor.

“As always, there were some fantastic ideas for this year's competition, and it was difficult to shortlist and then award. The confidence shown by the teams that presented to the jury was also great to see. But the most visible indication that we are a changing sector was the number of young female creatives shortlisted - and winning. Ireland's advertising creativity is in good hands. Congratulations to all the winning teams and looking forward very much to working with the film team to bring their concept to life.” said Max Brady, executive producer, Pull the Trigger Ltd and 2024 Young Lions Sponsor.
