After officially opening their doors in Vancouver this February, Zulu’s new office saw a series of significant AOR new business wins, including Destination BC, Save-on-Foods, and ToursByLocals.

Since then, Zulu has been actively bolstering their creative group with the arrival of Kelsey Hughes and Greg Kieltyka as associate creative directors.

Kelsey Hughes joined from Cossette and has worked with notable brands such as Travel Yukon, McDonalds, Volkswagen, Uber, Milk, Capital One and Destination Canada. Her work has been recognised by Marketing Awards, Communication Arts, Applied Arts, ADCC and Luerzer’s Archive. Greg Kieltyka joined from Thinkingbox after several years at Rethink and has worked on brands including Heinz, IKEA, Molson, GMC, Honda, Shaw, Vancouver Canucks, BC Cancer, and Destination BC. His work has been awarded at Cannes, the One Show, AToMiC, the Canadian Marketing Awards, and ADCC.

“The calibre of talent on our local team is truly impressive,” says Michael Mayes, executive creative director. “We’ve been able to hit the ground running with a nimble group of bold, hard-working people, backed by the talent and energy of the full Zulu Alpha Kilo team. It’s a really exciting time for us.”

Zulu also made several key hires on the account service front. Gisele Fisher joined as group account director. Cindy Nguyen joined as account director, and Lauren Hutton as account supervisor.

Gisele Fisher joined from AntiSocial, a Thinkingbox company, and has worked on brands including Destination Vancouver LVMH, Pernod Ricard, MasterCard, Toshiba, Allianz Insurance, Destination BC, and Save-On-Foods. Cindy Nguyen joined from ZGM Modern Marketing Partners, Calgary and has worked with clients such as UBC/UBCO, Subway, ABCRC, Alberta Chambers of Commerce, STARS Air Ambulance, ASC, and Syncrude. Lauren Hutton joined from Will Creative, and has previously worked with many brands including MEC, Topshop and ATB Financial, Banff & Lake Louise Tourism, Canada Sevens, Low Tide Properties, Kickstart Entertainment, Canadian Medical Association, and Canadian Men's Health Foundation.

“The momentum we’ve gathered throughout the year is simply incredible,” says David Tremblay, managing director, Vancouver. “We’ve been actively staffing for our new clients with phenomenal talent from Western Canada, and we will be looking for more talented people to join our team in the months ahead.”

Last month, Erica Shalinksy was also announced as the executive strategy director for the Vancouver office after joining Zulu from BBDO, New York.
