Christine is appointed as the first ever chief marketing officer

Today, Zulu Alpha Kilo announced the hiring of Christine McNab as its first ever chief marketing officer.

In this newly created role, Christine will lead new business development and help shape and grow some key areas of Zulu’s offering such as Augmented Reality, Zulubot, media innovation and CX. In the role, Christine will also work closely with Zulu’s founder and chief creative officer, Zak Mroueh on espousing the Zulu brand globally.

“As we’ve grown over the past year, we saw an opportunity to create a new role to lead the marketing of our brand and drive strategic new business growth,” says Mike Sutton, president and CEO. “As a creative company that builds brands and drives growth for clients, we’ve always believed it’s important for us to invest in our own brand. That was part of Zak’s vision from day one. So, when it came time to think of the right person for the role, Christine came to mind immediately.”

Christine joins Zulu from independent agency Rain where she was president for the past three years. Prior to Rain, she held senior roles at Publicis, FCB and Grey. McNab brings a wealth of experience to Zulu from both independent shops and network agencies. Throughout her 20 year career, Christine has built a reputation as a business leader, strategic partner to her clients and relationship builder on brands such as Kraft, LCBO, GSK, Diageo, Dole and Rogers to name a few.

“Zulu has built a global reputation for doing highly creative, innovative and effective work,” says Christine. “The agency’s focus on diversity and inclusion as well as health and wellness speaks to the strength of their culture. I’m incredibly excited to join such a talented and caring team with so much momentum.”

Agency founder & CCO Zak Mroueh says “I first met Christine five years ago and we talked about working together one day. Christine is a believer in the power of creativity to solve business problems. We are thrilled to have her on board to help build our next chapter.”

Christine’s arrival comes on the heels of other recent agency hires and international accolades, including Zulu’s top global ranking at the New York Festival’s AME Agency Report, an annual ranking of the world’s most effective campaigns, Epica Awards Independent Agency of year and, most recently, Campaign US shortlist independent agency of the year.
