Y&R Hong Kong Appoints Beverly Ho as General Manager

Y&R Asia president Matthew Godfrey today announced the appointment of Beverly Ho as general manager Y&R Hong Kong.

Commenting on the appointment, Godfrey said, “Y&R Hong Kong has truly flourished under Eric Choi’s leadership, we thank him for the sheer determination and commitment that has helped the agency grow its capabilities, client base and awards. Based in Hong Kong, reporting to Godfrey, Ho joins from Y&R sibling agency Red Fuse Communications Hong Kong, where as Regional Group Account Director, she managed advertising campaigns for Colgate-Palmolive in over ten countries across Asia.

Ho’s considerable success for her clients includes Colgate-Palmolive Philippines winning their company’s most prestigious internal award; Palmolive Naturals Hair Care’s ‘No Comb Revolution’ win at WPP’s Partnership in Practice and the coup of securing Korean megastar Jun Ji Hyun. 

A Hong Kong native, educated in the US, and fluently trilingual, Ho has always appreciated her East-meets-West upbringing that mirrors the fusion characteristics of her hometown. Her advertising experience spans the US, China and Hong Kong, across multiple industry categories including consumer goods, telecoms, insurance, banking, automotive, electronics and cosmetics. 

Commenting on her new assignment, Ho said, “I’m extremely excited about joining the passionate and talented team at Y&R. Having joined Y&R in 2006, Eric Choi headed up the Y&R HK office from 2011 onwards. In that time he helped transform the agency from mainly above-the-line to a fully integrated marketing communications company. Under Choi’s leadership, Y&R Hong Kong’s revenues have more than doubled in the past four years.

New business wins have included Huawei, Revlon, Wan Chai Ferry, Kjeldsens and the British Council. Awards have included New Business Development Team at Campaign’s Agency of the Year, plus both MarKies and Marketing Excellence Award success.

Choi moves to Lee Kum Kee Health Group as director of group marketing.
