Ross Phernetton Rejoins Proximity as Executive Creative Director

Ross Phernetton is rejoining the Proximity network as SVP, Executive Creative Director of Barefoot Proximity in Cincinnati. Phernetton was previously Creative Director at BBDO and Proximity Minneapolis. In his new position, he will have responsibility for the agency’s creative output.  

"At Proximity we believe in making brands more valuable to people and people more valuable to brands,” said Chris Evans, CEO of Barefoot Proximity. “Having worked with Proximity, Ross understands this and is the perfect fit to drive our work to the next level.” 

Phernetton spent nearly 15 years at BBDO and Proximity Minneapolis, working on brands such as Hormel, Aviva Life Insurance and the Minnesota Vikings. He won a Gold Effie for his campaign for Formica. In August 2013, he joined the management team of Staff, a startup within the Samsung Accelerator.

“I was drawn to the culture of data-driven creativity at Barefoot Proximity,” said Ross Phernetton, “That’s how real value between people and brands is created. And I’m excited to take it even further.”
