Top tier supervisor of major feature and TV work to be instrumental in company's expansion plans

Powerhouse VFX , whose work has been featured on projects including Apple's Servant and Netflix's Stranger Things, is delighted to announce the addition of industry leading VFX supervisor Kevin Blank to its creative team. Kevin, who recently completed work on Paramount + megahit series 1923 and Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender, has supervised an impressive list of major iconic shows, including Alias and Lost (for which he received both Emmy and VES Awards), as well as pilot episodes of series including Hawaii 5-0, Childhood's End and Lovecraft Country. In all, he has been nominated for a combined 19 VES (Visual Effects Society) and Emmy Awards.

Powerhouse VFX, which has established a reputation for outstanding work and creative collaboration, continues to develop strong relationships with many leading filmmakers working in and around its New York, Toronto and Atlanta bases. Kevin will creatively oversee the expansion of Powerhouse into the West Coast of North America.

"We're thrilled to welcome Kevin and expand our creative offering," enthuses SVP, managing director Ryan Cunningham. "Kevin will be a valuable addition to our team as we continue Powerhouse's evolution into Los Angeles and beyond."

"I'm excited to join the team at Powerhouse," says Kevin. "I've been a fan of their work over the years, and I've been impressed with their culture and evolution as a company. The opportunity to help build on that foundation and have access to [sister company] Company 3's creative talent pool helped make joining Powerhouse VFX an easy decision."

Kevin, a Los Angeles native, started his VFX career on such now-classic late 1990s series as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess. By 1998 he had worked his way up to supervising VFX creation for productions from script and concept through final delivery and has built a stellar reputation in the process.

Kevin is a member of the Directors Guild of America, the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences and the Visual Effects Society.
