Events offers talks by leading marketing and creative minds to explore the future of creativity

Untapped is a half-day of talks by leading marketing and creative minds where Notepad dive headfirst into the challenges and opportunities facing commercial creativity.

Join Notepad for its first event at Eighteen Lounge & Roof Terrace, Birmingham as we discuss everything from how to foster creativity in the workplace, the role of luck in empowering creative intuition and what the future of creativity holds (ChatGPT and all). It promises to be packed full of insight and interactivity. Essential viewing for marketing and creative leaders faced with the challenges of managing creativity at scale.

Notepad line up includes speakers who have worked agency side and in-house for some of the most incredible and progressive brands we know; Lego, Nike, Amazon, Lucky Saint and Twitter.

Speakers:

Andy Nairn is renowned for his creativity having been crowned Campaign Magazine’s Best Strategist in the UK for three years running and nominated as one of the top five creative people in the world of advertising by Business Insider. Andy co-founded Lucky Generals, a creative agency for the modern times that has picked up pretty much every industry and creative award you can think of! Having worked on global advertising campaigns for the likes of Amazon and Twitter all the way to UK briefs for brands like Co-op and Yorkshire Tea. If that wasn’t enough Andy’s has also written a book called ‘Go Luck Yourself’ where he talks about the role luck has to play in creativity and how we can each tap into it more easily that we realise.

Emily Laws is currently head of brand at Lucky Saint, a brand that has been making waves for their awesome non-alcholic beer and bold brand moves. Emily has over ten years of experience in brand management, marketing, PR and brand activation. Prior to Lucky Saint, she ran Brand, Activations and Partnerships for Fever Tree and comes from a background in PR and marketing. Emily has since led Lucky Saint on their exciting journey in the drinks industry, a brand that has laid down a marker as one to watch. Lucky Saint are a B Corp who recently ran a devoutly delicious OOH campaign that took over the tube network and announced a Marylebone pub as their new brand home, running the pub for the public and utilising the rest of the building as company HQ! We’re looking forward to getting Emily’s perspective on in-house creativity and where the opportunities lie.

John Lyons is an award-winning marketing director. He has oodles of experience and a proven ability to develop creative, market-orientated brand strategies, promotional techniques, loyalty programs and digital innovations. He’s enabled global brands such as Deutsche Bank, Manchester United, LEGO and LG to achieve their commercial objectives. John is also an experienced keynote speaker, panellist, podcast guest and lecturer and will bring a bag of ideas and talking points on what the deal with creativity is.

Joanne Wiggan is the director of brand and experience at Ribble Cycles. Joanne has an outstanding track record in blue-chip marketing across the leisure, retail, banking and automotive industries. With over 20 years of experience working in global marketing roles including Gleneagles, Volvo, Berghaus, Hyundai, Nissan and Red Bull as well as agency roles with Havas. With all her unique insight Joanne will be tackling where creativity is going, why brand experience matters and how to execute against disruptive branding – it promises to be very exciting!

Naeem Alvi-Assinder is an award-winning brand strategist and the founder of Notepad. After years of helping fast-growth SMEs and big brands like Nike, Adidas and RBS Natwest, to grow their brands, Naeem founded Notepad to connect big brand experience with ambitious companies that want to define and scale up their brands effectively and affordably. Naeem is an entrepreneur who has experienced life client-side too, helping grow a number of brands and tech companies. He realises the importance of creating an optimal environment for creativity to happen and believes there are a number of things leaders can be doing to make everyone’s creative output more effective. Naeem and the team at Notepad set up these talks as a way of promoting great cultural and creative environments.

‘Creativity’ can be difficult to nurture and sometimes difficult to tame. Harnessing creativity is a constant challenge. It isn’t methodical or even logical and there is no right answer. But when we finally capture and utilise those magical moments of creativity, it allows us to create new ideas and solve the most complex problems.

Creativity is a critical factor in organisational success. Few truly know how to foster creativity and innovation in their workplace. And even fewer actually do it. But we’re finally seeing more and more companies, marketers and brand managers looking for interesting and unique ways to stand out creatively. We believe that great brands and marketing are created by empowering your creative teams and ultimately keeping your creative processes and executions fresh.

Notepad's event session will include a host of amazing speakers and will be a great opportunity to network with some of the industry’s leading marketing and creative minds.

There are only a limited number of tickets available so if you’re interested click below to reserve your place.
