International music agency MassiveMusic has announced the addition of Jonny Beck, who joins the company’s London office as music producer.
Jonny comes to the organisation with a strong background in nearly every part of the production process. He cut his teeth in post-production at Halo Post, before moving to Grand Central Sound Studios, Marshall Street Editors and more recently as Production Coordinator at Dark Energy Films.
Most notable award-winning campaigns he has worked on include giffgaff’s ‘The Big Swim’ and Lynx’s ‘Men In Progress’ series.
On his appointment, Jonny says: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at MassiveMusic and have long admired them as being one of the most creative commercial music outfits in the world. I’m truly looking forward to working with the great talent here and can't wait to get going on creating some banging projects together.”
Music has always been his world. In 2002-2003, he was head chorister at Peterborough Cathedral which led him to win the Haydn Keeton Chorister Award in 2003. He then self-produced and self-published ‘All This Talk’, an EP for his band Diamond Empire.
He also played gigs supporting Professor Green, Scouting For Girls, Everything Everything, Alt-J and Rizzle Kicks, and has a wide appreciation of multiple music genres – from Bach to Zimmer to Oasis to Stormzy to James Brown. He loves playing the piano and the guitar as well as the drums from time to time. You might find him on the piano down the pub, orchestrating a mass boozy singalong.
Tim Preston, head of music production at MassiveMusic London, adds: “Jonny’s knowledge of advertising production, coupled with his passion for music, makes him the perfect addition to the team at MassiveMusic London. Jonny will be working across all aspects of music production from advertising campaigns to sonic branding projects, fully utilising his extensive skill set. Especially the boozy singalongs.”
