MassiveMusic Amsterdam is bolstering its talent in the Amsterdam office with the hiring of a new creative development director for the Dutch, German and wider European market.

Dolf Bekker joins MassiveMusic Amsterdam and will be responsible for the company’s business development strategy with a focus on boutique advertising work and craft.

Getting a music degree at the Amsterdam Conservatory in 2010, Dolf then relocated to London to achieve an MA in Music Business before returning to Amsterdam to work as an A&R manager at CTM/ Imagem Publishing. He then held a role as music supervisor at Sizzer and manages indie electronic outfit CUT_

Dolf becomes the first to hold the role of creative development director at MassiveMusic Amsterdam, strengthening the agency’s reputation as a leading music maker in Europe and the understanding of the creative relationship between music and the moving image for both the branding and the advertising worlds.

Hans Brouwer, founder and CEO at MassiveMusic, says: “At MassiveMusic we combine resources and expertise across our network of global offices so it makes sense to add more people that have international experience to work across different projects. Dolf has operated in multiple European countries and has a metropolitan mindset and experience level that syncs up with MassiveMusic’s global mentality. Plus, he’s a fantastic bass player so music is definitely part of his DNA. We’re thrilled to have him on board and part of the growing MassiveMusic team!”

Dolf Bekker, creative development director at MassiveMusic, adds: “Branding and advertising is all about a strong narrative. What is the story you want to tell and why? Music & Sound are essential elements to massively enhance a story and create an impactful narrative, one that you truly feel. Now that I’m joining the experienced global team of MassiveMusic, I look forward to enhancing and creating great musical narratives for brands and campaigns that make an emotional impact, striving to get most out of creative and craft musically.”
