“For me as a filmmaker, it’s always been interesting to follow sub-cultures at a certain stage in their development when there is a kind of purity to the movement,” says Director Kevin Kerslake. “It’s been incredible as a Director to sit in that sweet spot at various points in time, whether it was related to a certain genre of music or action sports, and the electronic music scene has an incredibly powerful life force right now, wielding a dramatic amount of influence on current aesthetics and general trends in mainstream culture. With this 120-minute film, we weave musical performances with storylines, and give viewers the Electric Daisy Carnival Experience first-hand, which is incredibly visceral and lends itself to the big screen exceptionally well.”

“Kevin is an incredibly talented Writer/Director,” comments Mirror Films’ Owner/Executive Producer Eric Barrett. “He is a genuine storyteller who totally immerses himself in his subject matter. Agencies love to work with him because he brings fresh and exciting ideas to every project. His unique talent, skill and passion for filmmaking is showcased perfectly in this new documentary.”

Tickets for “Electric Daisy Carnival Experience” are available at participating theater box offices and online at The August 4th event will be broadcast to select movie theaters across the country through NCM’s exclusive Digital Broadcast Network.

Bio: Director Kevin Kerslake: In his early teens, Kevin Kerslake embarked on a path to emulate his childhood hero, Bruce (“Endless Summer”) Brown, making surf, skate and ski/snowboard films throughout his hormonal years. Fortune intervened after college, and Kerslake became one of a hand full of directors responsible for forging the visual identity of the MTV generation, directing award-winning music videos for such bands as Nirvana, Green Day, R.E.M., the Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, Rise Against and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Kerslake dominated the cutting edge of pop culture, directing and shooting core culture films and documentaries, notably “Nirvana: Live! Tonight! Sold Out!,” “The Ramones: We're Outta Here!,” and the long-running film series for electronic music giants “Insomniac Events.” Kerslake's trendsetting visual style resonates in his commercial work for clients AT&T, Sony Playstation, Coca-Cola, Reebok, Sprite, DC Shoes, Kohler, Puma, Nike and AXE body spray. For the television medium, Kerslake directed “Fallen,” one of ABC's highest-rated mini-series and two episodes for Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich’s sci-fi series “The Visitor.” He is currently attached to direct J.G. Ballard’s “Running Wild,” starring Samuel L. Jackson, Kristin Scott Thomas and Rosamund Pike.
