Director Lana Maclin Highlights the Consequences of Hiring the 'Fake it ‘Til You Make it' Guy

Amidst the chaos of the so-called 'Great Resignation,' Sparks Productions/ Sans Bornes director Lana Maclin exposes the stark reality of unwittingly hiring the ‘fake it 'til you make it’ guy in her newest spot! The star studded cast includes Dan Galea (Baroness Von Sketch Show), and features Nahan Fahey, Briana Templeton, and Hugh Wilson. 

When asked about her inspiration for this spot, Lana had the following to say: “While I personally am a huge proponent of the ‘fake it til you make it’ way of life, there is something funny and deeply satisfying in watching someone embrace the maxim so very poorly and transparently. I also find nothing funnier or more fun to watch than the ‘confident idiot’, and I felt that this would be the perfect premise to showcase such a character.”

According to Lana, the process of shooting this spot was "a wonderful blur.” Ambitiously shot in one day, all departments worked together seamlessly in order to bring Lana’s vision to life. As Lana so aptly stated, “when the cast and crew are excited by the creative and are constantly offering ideas on set for specific props or wardrobe or alternate jokes to further sell the bit, there's no better feeling!”
