Celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, the Golden Drum Festival is a major advertising festival in the Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) region. As the only regional creative competition in CEE that is a part of WARC Rankings Creative 100 -the global, independent benchmark for marketing celebrating excellence in creativity- it is also without a doubt the most important advertising festival in the region.
This year, the Golden Drum Festival, which is taking place between 13 - 15 October, will be a bit of a special edition as a result of its pause last year due to Covid-19. Like the other awards that were impacted, entries eligibility period has been stretched to a 2-year period instead of the usual 1-year.
The festival organizers also took the opportunity to reflect and make key changes to drive ever-greater clarity and relevance. This includes an increased number of juries, five to be precise -One Channel, Omni channel, Craft, Business excellence- and a special transversal section to be judged by all jurors including categories such as Local Spirit, Social Good, and Covid-19.
This year, Publicis Groupe CEE will pick up from where we left off in 2019 and rejoin this important competition.
This year’s entries will come from different Publicis Groupe’s agency brands in CEE- Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett - and across 15 markets in the region. The work are created for major brands including Sberbank, Lenovo, McDonalds, Telecom, Samsung and Hasbro amongst others; and across different categories, including banking, technology, telco and FMCG.
