Red & Grey, Publicis Dublin and Tiny Ark took home three of the coveted gold bells

Over 360 people across the advertising, design and production industries attended the ICAD annual awards ceremony in Dublin Castle on Friday September 1st. Celebrating its 65th year, Ireland’s longest standing creative organisation recognised the best in Irish creativity, with 105 awards in total across its creative categories. Red & Grey, Publicis Dublin and Tiny Ark took home three of the coveted gold bells.

ICAD has garnered global recognition for its commitment to fostering, promoting, and rewarding creativity. With growth in membership and awards entries, recent board and structural changes and the recent appointment of Neil Rooney as incoming executive director, the organisation is poised to further develop its community of Ireland’s best and brightest creative professionals.

The successful night saw 26 Silvers and 70 Bronze bells awarded, with other big winners including BBDO, Boys + Girls, The Public House and Droga 5 within advertising, Together we Create, CI Studio and Unthink within Design. Elsewhere BigO and Piranha Bar took home multiple bells within production..

2023’s Best Client Award in Advertising went to Heineken, with Truly A Modern Dental Company taking it home for Design. The Greenhorn Award, which recognises emerging creatives in the industry went to Lucy Mortell for Advertising and Sam McGrath for Production craft.

Nathan Reilly, ICAD president, closed the night by recognising Gina Brady from Windmill Lane with the President’s Award for her impact and contribution to the lives of others in the Irish creative industry. Speaking on awards night, he said, “Congratulations to all our winners this year. Each of you represent the best of Irish creativity and deserve to be recognised by ICAD and your industry peers. This evening is not just about awards, but both a reflection of the 65 year journey that has been made by ICAD and a celebration of the deep friendships that have been forged over decades within this community.”

Gratitude was expressed to this year’s sponsors: Finlay Mulligan, Screen Ireland, Hall Print, Radio Centre Ireland, Penco Post, Publicis and Creative Futures Academy for their support as well as all of the volunteers who made the memorable evening come together. ICAD’s next member AGM will take place on Wednesday November 8th at 7pm.
