Hybrid creative and production studio Ammolite Inc. has signed Ganna Bogdan to their growing roster of multi-talented directors. This is Bogdan’s first US representation. With a captivating nostalgic quality, Bogdan’s arresting visuals reflect her post-Soviet upbringing and eclectic artistic background.
Hailing from Kiev, Ukraine, Bogdan is a mixed-media artist and filmmaker. She grew up training as a professional figure skater bound for the Olympics, later transitioning to a career as a model that gave her entry into the creative industry. Exploring her passion for art, she gained experience working as a photographer and subsequently moved into directing. Shaped by a present-day vision of the mid-century modernist movement, Bogdan’s dreamlike films are layered and lyrical.
She has collaborated with numerous brands including Paco Rabbane, Oakley, Farfetch, Herschel, Vogue Russia, and Elder Statesman, and has directed music videos for many Russian and Ukrainian music artists. She is currently at work on her first documentary. “I’m exceedingly happy to join the creatively inspired people at Ammolite. I felt an immediate kinship to Kirsten and everyone when I met them,” says Bogdan. “I know that their extensive knowledge of the ad world and film industry will fully launch my directing career in America and I can’t wait.”
Ammolite managing director Kirsten Arongino says: “Ganna’s work is unconventional and exciting. We’re thrilled to collaborate with her on artistic projects for brands and take her visibility to the next level. The culture of Ammolite is a perfect partnership with Ganna’s spirited style".
