Directed by Jonathan Pearson through Supergoober for VCCP, this 3 minute short shines a light on the issue of bipolar disorder using a projection technique. Each shot required a variation of the technique with Derek providing some content which was delivered to set and projected and filmed whilst other shots were enhanced in final post with an overall saturation boost and stylised look applied across the whole film. ‘We tried various techniques to be used on the shoot. Some footage was provided with 2 treatments – one clean and one with sprocket/film weave.’ explained Derek, “We also had to come up with some maths to solve issues surrounding angled-projection!”
