The idea behind the advertisements relies on a universal insight about relationships, and the subtle (or not so subtle) attempts at manipulation that go on between couples, particularly when it comes to purchasing big-ticket items for the home. This dynamic is fertile ground for humour, and led to the development of scenarios that would be familiar to, and resonate with, Currys & PC World’s core audience.
