Coronavirus landed early in Thailand, and very early the country felt its toll. Businesses suffered. And of them all, aviation was the most badly hit.

But as Thailand’s national carrier, Thai Airways had to stay relevant.

 

With all planes grounded and people encouraged to stay home, we flipped our miles program upside down and, for the first time, gave people miles for not going anywhere. Encouraging them to stay home and prevent the spread of the virus. All they had to do was stay within 100m radius of their homes and collect miles.

 

The app quickly climbed to #1 in Health & Fitness category in the App store, turning isolation into rewards for thousands of members. Giving them hope and reassurance that travelling would soon be possible again
