With the launch of five new models, including multiple Car of the Year awards among them, Volvo Cars has successfully positioned itself as one of the world’s leading premium automotive makers.

To honour these new designs, Volvo required a next-generation car configurator to enable customers and dealerships to configure a Volvo car, including accessories and services, through an easy, fast and inspiring digital experience. One that promotes an increase in sales volume across major markets and strengthens the overall brand experience.


Idea

The automotive industry’s most valuable car configurator. Valuable in experience to the customer, in its ability to generate revenue, in its service to all Volvo digital channels.

A modular design befitting Volvo’s Scandinavian heritage that adapts to all screens and contexts, including the world’s first configurator for Facebook Canvas, with new art direction for CG imagery that creates desire for the vehicles it presents.


Impact

Launched and localised in 50 markets around the world, the new Volvo Car Configurator has increased completed configurations by 45%, lead generations by 29% and test drive requests by 58%.
