Berlin creative music agency Blutjung launches new mini series representing the struggles and successes of artists on their creative journeys.

Jumping onto the Berlin scene in 2019, Blutjung is the new creative music agency for a modern era. With their worldwide network of both up-and-coming and established bands, singers & DJ’s, their roster of artists is at the forefront of the constantly evolving music industry. Curated by a team of young creatives, Blutjung is building a bridge between music and advertising, helping agencies and brands like McDonalds, Beats by Dre and Volkswagen to find the right music & talent to enhance their creative ideas, concepts and campaigns.

Blutjung didn’t just snap into existence though, it branched from the young creative minds at BLUT Audio in Hamburg. A company with more than 15 years of experience in the music advertising world, BLUT’s name carries with it a reputation for delivering top shelf bespoke music and throwing great parties. In early 2018, BLUT recognised a distinct rising demand for campaigns that feature artists in the core of their concepts. This makes perfect sense, having in mind that a partnership with the right artist can help a brand gain easier access to new cultural demographics in which they’d like to be relevant, strengthening their relationship with current and future consumers. On their website - www.blutjung.agency - you will find a page with sed cards of every artists represented by Blutjung.

With a much-needed focus on representation and inclusivity, Blutjung represents artists who are beyond passionate about the music they create. They live and breathe music everyday. There is still a disparity for many artists that the cards are stacked against. People of colour and LGBTQIA+ artists have historically struggled to get mainstream attention, especially within the world of advertising. While that isn’t news for many, Blutjung is determined to create change by representing new, unheard voices and connecting them within the advertising world. With their new self-produced mini series Off The Record, Blutjung tells the stories behind the artists who inspire us to be different, to always stay true to ourselves and to find our voice in this often loud and crowded industry.

Give the Blutjung page a scroll and you’ll no doubt come across the fabulous FHAT, the queer duo hailing from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Blutjung was very lucky to have them play a set or two, during their new office opening party in Munich. Originally the plan was to have them perform and then bounce. However, staying a day longer in Munich proved to be the perfect opportunity to find out more about their background, their thoughts to the music industry and how it feels to navigate the music industry and the LGBTQIA+ community in Germany.

FHAT is music duo who relocated from L.A to Berlin a few years ago and quickly found themselves experimenting with sounds and inspiring each others creativity. They’re unapologetically gay, their friendship is truly “friendship goals” and holy sh*t can they sing! If you want to spice up your life with some colours and 70’s funky vibes clashing together with some R&B – just go to Spotify, search FHAT and hit the play button! Blutjung definitely recommends Packin’, Ontad and Pleasure. – Oh, and they just released a new single called Curious! Which is just so f*cking catchy it’s honestly ridiculous!

About BLUT Audio

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU CALL A MUSIC PRODUCTION BLUT [GERMAN FOR BLOOD]?

Blood is life. It pumps through our veins. Warm, red, pulsating. Blood is rhythm. Blood is power. It drives us, makes us feel alive. Whether as a punk bassist in the Australian outback, a techno DJane at the Fusion Festival, a hip hop blogger in Berlin or a German New Wave star in the 80ies - from early on for Team BLUT, music was in our blood.

3 generations, 5 nationalities, a worldwide network of musicians and composers: multi-cultural in the true sense of the word. We might have different blood types, but we all share the same fate: Music. »Music is not a hobby, music is me.« (Arthur Rubinstein). This passion shows up in every composition, in the almost obsessive love for detail in all our productions.

Most importantly, we don't discriminate: lemonade or limousine, to us everything is ›sexy‹. When you start a project with us, you automatically become a blood-sister/brother. Together we fight for that quantum magic, that turns a track into a hit. Our countless awards attest the blood, sweat and enthusiasm we pour into everyone of our projects.

So: WHY IN THE WORLD DID NO ONE DECIDE TO CALL A MUSIC PRODUCTION BLUT BEFORE US?
