Director João Retorta brings his signature blend of photographic composition and dark ambience to this piece, commissioned by Boiler Room. In celebration of his 2018 Hyundai Mercury Prize nomination, the film follows Novelist in his home turf in Lewisham where he delivers a live performance and candid interview on how his early life experiences drove him to become a better artist.
