danbolig - Helping People Discover Their Neighbourhood


Our "Neighbourhoods" platform for danbolig enabled people to explore Denmark’s communities and find the property that's right for them. THE RESULTS - This ground-breaking responsive interactive map, intelligent search function and omni-channel platform gave people an insight into more than 2,000 neighbourhoods, helping demonstrate Danbolig's unrivalled insight into communities in Denmark. THE CHALLENGE - Property Searching As A Past Time. Danish property sites are some of the country's most popular websites. As one of the market leaders, Danbolig has more then 10,000 housing listings and presentations, and services more than 600 million photos per year, receiving more than one million unique visitors per month. To stay competitive, Danbolig needed to deliver a superior customer experience that was responsive, as well as integrated into Dabolig's estate agency and third-party supplier system. THE SOLUTION - Our Neighbourhoods, an integrated, personalised service. Our insight found that when people buy a new property, they are actually buying in to a new neighbourhood. Our idea was to help improve the knowledge of Denmark's neighbourhoods, enabling people to make more informed decisions when buying a home. 'Our Neighbourhoods' is an integrated service on, which uses data about the special features of the neighbourhoods and user-generated content to turn local insight into national knowledge. We worked with Ankiro, a semantic search technology partner to deliver a free text field search tool that works for all properties. So if you want something a little more specific, "A flat with a balcony, with a view of the water," Danbolig can find the home for you. The new platform also uses data from Geomatic, processed and presented alongside properties for sale. This enhances the user’s property search by transforming the location into more than just a postal code and the distance to the nearest school. In locations ranging from Gedser to Skagen, users can find out what their future neighbours are like. For example, users can find out what type of residents live in a certain location. The responsive site optimises on all screens without compromising on content and functionality, making sure that is the site people go to when researching at home, or investigating a new neighbourhood on the go.
