Their 2005 book, Blue Ocean Strategy, outlined how brands can move away from crowded markets (red oceans) to find new areas where competition is non-existent (blue oceans).
In 2017, the authors published a follow-up, Blue Ocean Shift, which takes the learnings from the first book and provides readers with a step-by-step guide on identifying new growth opportunities and making competition irrelevant.
