Santa Gets Real in New PSA from DoubleTree by Hilton Created by Y&R Chicago
Y&R Chicago created a fun, new PSA for DoubleTree by Hilton in partnership with Ketchum
Every year, fewer Americans are remembering to leave cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. DoubleTree by Hilton sheds light on this issue through a PSA from Santa himself, urging people not to forget about him.
DoubleTree by Hilton is all about the little things that make a big difference, especially when it comes to travel. So, they wanted to do something nice over the holidays and give back to Santa, the ultimate world traveler, by committing themselves to solving the cookie crisis.
During the week leading up to Christmas, the hotel chain will be inviting anyone to walk into its US hotels - with or without a reservation – for two free cookies to leave for Santa. While other hotels may understand that holiday travel is stressful, DoubleTree by Hilton remains the only hotel that has what Santa really wants; warm, melt-in-your-mouth, delicious chocolate chip cookies to keep him fueled for his long trip.
In his video message, recorded at North Pole Studios, Santa admits that DoubleTree’s cookies are indeed his favorite, and warns the public not to end up on his naughty list.
Following the launch of the PSA, DoubleTree by Hilton will continue to roll out the campaign socially through memes on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Various posts using #CookiesforSanta will lead up to Christmas Eve to encourage people to do their part to make sure Santa gets enough cookies this year to fuel his travels.
