Zerotrillion Named Agency of the Year at ADCANN Awards

Zerotrillion, the global agency with offices in Toronto and Amsterdam has started 2021 on a high after it was announced it had been named Agency of the Year at the ADCANN Awards. An annual celebration of the best cannabis marketing and advertising from across Canada.

As the agency of record for The Flowr Corporation, one of Canada’s leading Cannabis brands, Zerotrillion also took home Campaign of the Year for their work on Flowr’s BC Pink Kush Campaign, which was also a 2020 Clio award-winner. In the notoriously tight regulations of the Canadian cannabis industry, there is little brands can say about their products, so Zerotrillion developed a campaign that speaks for itself, highlighting Flowr’s approach to product quality by blending vibes of Rembrandt still lifes with precision scientific instruments. Alongside the above, Flowr was named Brand of The Year.

Founded by Alex Paquin and Adam Fierman in January 2019, the recognition from ADCANN falls on the agency's two-year anniversary. Alex Paquin, CEO, said: “We started Zerotrillion with the ambition to shun mediocrity and create work that resonates with audiences and drives businesses forward. Our collaboration with The Flowr Corporation has allowed us to do just that and it's an honor to have that work recognized at this level.”

The dual win coincides with a raft of new hires for the agency which continues its rapid growth with a series of new business wins and developments with existing clients. Senior designer Jack Towers brings a vibrant and extensive portfolio to the team along with Parisian Michael Kirijian, who joins as senior account lead, bringing a wealth of experience having worked with clients such as Uber, Sonos, and Adidas.

Of the new appointments, Adam said: “With these and other upcoming new hires, we’re accelerating and future-proofing the creative output of the agency. Each one brings a unique and provocative point of view and shares our ever-growing ambitions. We’re all stoked to welcome them on board the rocket ship.”
