Now that the weather has (finally!) begun to warm up, Y&R New York is launching humorous, new TV and Pandora radio spots as part of its integrated campaign for Ball Park Brand’s new premium hot dog, Park’s Finest. This new iteration of the “So American You Can Taste It” campaign, which features a charismatic patriotic character who extolls all things American, introduces Park’s Finest as a premium grilling option just in time for the summer barbecue season.
In the launch :30 TV spot, our suited-up patriotic narrator – accompanied by a bald eagle, of course - takes us through a brief history of some of America’s greatest inventions. Despite the disappointment of inventors Eli Whitney and Benjamin Franklin, it turns out that “America’s greatest invention ever” is neither the cotton gin nor electricity. It is actually Park’s Finest franks, made with 100% beef, no nitrates, and infused with bold seasonings… “and the very spirit of America.” The :30 and :15 TV spots will be accompanied by a series of Pandora radio ads also celebrating Americana. One radio spot touts that Park’s Finest is “a hotdog as American as a bald eagle in a cowboy hat playing football beneath a Redwood tree at Cape Canaveral.”
Beginning this week, the new Park’s Finest ads will air on Pandora radio, and across broadcast and cable networks including Food Network, HGTV, TBS, TLC and ESPN. Check out the TV/Pandora spots here and on YouTube. The larger “So American You Can Taste It” campaign also includes digital, social, shopper marketing, events and PR elements.
