Rubber Republic were asked to create a fun piece of content for the Yorkshire Tea “Brew Tube” channel that engages an audience with the brand in a fun way, and tests the water for future channel content that places entertainment first.
Rubber Republic conceived and wrote a song about the wonders of tea, collaborating with Yorkshire band and all round lovely folk Ellen & the Escapades to record the music, with actress Ruth Bratt taking the lead vocal and performance duties. They then filmed the song in a single take featuring Yorkshire Tea employees in the many very serious acting roles that were required.
The film received a hugely warm response from tea fans, was tweeted by comedians such as Sarah Millican and Rufus Hound and gained over 100,000 views in its first week online.

Wow, this is great! I don’t suppose you’d share the chords for this? I feel the need to perform this for some Aussie friends who *just don’t get it*… I <3 tea!

I can’t stop thinking about this song! It makes me smile!
