Y&L Brings Lacrosse to Your Mobile with "Shootout 2"

Young & Laramore develops sequel to Brine's popular mobile app

Y&L Brings Lacrosse to Your Mobile with "Shootout 2"

Indianapolis-based agency Young & Laramore is launching "Shootout 2," a new and enhanced iteration of lacrosse brand Brine’s wildly popular “Shootout” mobile app. The new app launched on August 14 on iOS and Android platforms and can be bought through the App Store and Google Play for $0.99, making it the first premium paid app from Brine.

Hundreds of thousands of loyal Brine fans have been eagerly awaiting an upgraded game -- the original “Shootout” launched in April 2012 and racked up over a million plays in its first 3 weeks, and to date has tallied 6 million games played by over a quarter of a million unique visitors. A testament to the game's popularity, “Shootout” and “Hotshot,” another Brine game app, are still being downloaded today and will remain accessible on iOS and Android devices.

Developed completely in-house, “Shootout 2” represents Y&L’s fully integrated philosophy. In a landscape where external partners and unbundled agencies are common in the development of digital campaign components, Y&L has proven their full-service capabilities by seeing this app all the way through concepts, to graphic design, to programming.

"Shootout 2" will help Brine further engage its target audience by seamlessly integrating the brand into the game at all points of play, i.e. unlocking new Brine equipment in correspondence to various challenges, which demonstrates Y&L's adept use of non-disruptive branded content. Other exciting enhancements include upgrades of previous features, increased difficulty, 2 brand new venues - Street and Space - and a new function that allows players to record gameplay.
