YD Appoints Thomas Triscari as CEO

YD, the programmatic display advertising platform for direct advertisers, today announced that it has appointed Thomas Triscari as its CEO to lead the company’s growth and international expansion into the U.S. and beyond.

On the heels of its €4.6 million Series A funding, YD now has its sights set on expanding its reach and scaling its operations to meet the ever-challenging needs of quantitative marketers. Triscari brings with him over 15 years experience in digital media, having most recently served in director positions at Yahoo! and Criteo, where his focus was on building and managing international commercial teams on the demand side, supply side and business intelligence.

“YD is moving into an exciting new phase of development by moving into the U.S market and expanding to various new markets in EMEA in 2014. We’re looking forward to Tom bringing his many years of experience and expertise at growing teams and business operations in the digital space. Tom was an immediate fit for our business, being an entrepreneurial and international operator,” said YD co-founder Mendel Senf. “The founding team of YD was convinced of his experience and motivation to lead YD into the next level of tremendous growth,” echoed YD cofounder and CTO Niels Baarsma.

The move will allow Senf to focus on his strengths and passion for growing YD and selling its products as chief revenue officer. "For me, YD has one of those great start-up cultures. The team has a natural ability to build product, sell it and deliver it. The team is constantly finding ways to be more competitive and YD does this amazingly well. It is truly admirable how start-ups like YD manage to punch above their weight class and grow into something much bigger," said Triscari. “But being a successful company and crossing the chasm isn’t just about building and selling.
