Jay-Z stars in the new commercial for Duracell Powermat

 

In a new integrated campaign for Duracell Powermat created by NY-based Woods Witt Dealy & Sons (WWD&S), Jay-Z stars in a commercial promoting the Duracell Powermat 24 Hour Power System, a portable device that allows users to charge their smartphones while on-the-go.
 
The :60 spot, titled 'Day in the Life', showcases a day in the life of an average Duracell Powermat user who has a run in with Jay-Z when he accidentally picks up Jay-Z’s phone on the charging mat they are sharing at Jay-Z’s New York 40/40 Club, the first venue to feature the product's wireless hot spots. The tagline for the campaign is 'Never Be Powerless'.

 

 
Jay-Z is both a spokesman for Duracell Powermat as well as an investor in the company.
