Wunderman Thompson Appoints Caroline Foster Kenny as Global Chief Client Officer

Caroline joins Wunderman from IPG Mediabrands

Wunderman Thompson, a WPP company, today announced that Caroline Foster Kenny has been appointed to the newly created role of global chief client Officer for Wunderman Thompson. Caroline will report to Wunderman Thompson Global CEO, Mel Edwards, and will be based out of London. 

As part of the global leadership team, Caroline will be responsible for global client relationship development, and will work cross-functionally across all the Wunderman Thompson capabilities to drive business and brand transformation for the top 30 global clients.

For the last three years, Caroline has been leading a transformative strategy for IPG Mediabrands as CEO across the UK and EMEA region, responsible for all of the Group’s digital and media businesses across the region, including Initiative, UM, The Reprise Network, Sticky Eyes, Rapport, Mublaoo, MAGNA and Orion.

Prior to joining IPG Mediabrands, Caroline served as global chief client officer at MEC (now Wavemaker), part of WPP’s GroupM, where she built and grew global client relationships, overseeing the agency’s top 30 global clients. Caroline was part of WPP for over 20 years, holding various international leadership roles, including a six-year stint in Asia, based out of Hong Kong and Shanghai.

In 2019, Caroline was shortlisted as MediaWeek’s Industry Leader of the Year and was Chair of Judges for Campaign’s Media Awards. Throughout her career, she has worked across a wide breadth of client categories and across the full spectrum of media communication disciplines.
