WPN And Chameleon To Merge

After several months of deliberation, The two marketing agencies merge into WPN Chameleon Ltd.

Following several months of detailed discussions, WPN and Chameleon have agreed to merge, effective from today, and have now become WPN Chameleon Ltd. Staff and clients have been informed.

WPN’s strength as a direct marketing agency, and Chameleon’s strength as a digital agency, creates a perfect combination. Both companies share an absolute dedication for getting outstanding results for clients, and by bringing the two organisations together, WPN Chameleon will now offer a powerful product across all media, both on- and off-line.

WPN Chameleon will have a combined gross income of around £3.5m and staff of around 50, immediately making it a significantly larger agency. The new senior team will consist of John Watson as chairman and managing director, Vicky Reeves as deputy managing director, Dan Martin as digital strategy director, Jeremy Davis as digital services director, Maria Phillips as director of Film and TV, Gail Cookson as fundraising director, John Eversley as business director, Annette Thurgood as business director, Bob Nash and Chris Martin as joint creative directors and Alison Meredith as executive planning director. 

Chameleon was founded in 1998 by Vicky Reeves and has become a widely respected digital marketing agency with strong skills in web design and development, user experience, email marketing, SEO and SEM, mobile and social media marketing, supported by an outstanding team of technical specialists, strategists and creatives. It works across both commercial clients and fundraising clients, and holds the UK licence for the outstanding iRaiser integrated fundraising software package. Major clients include: Big Bus Tours, UNICEF, Macmillan Cancer Support and Deloitte.

Watson Phillips Norman was founded in 2001 by John Watson and Maria Phillips. John was previously founder and chairman of WWAV, now Rapp, and Maria was creative director. WPN is a full service direct marketing agency with extensive experience in DRTV, Direct Mail, Press and Inserts, and over the decade has grown into a strategic and creative agency winning multiple awards across a range of commercial and fundraising clients, such as Which?, Oxfam, HomeServe, NSPCC and Fidelity.

This opens a new chapter for WPN Chameleon and creates not merely a new agency of some size, but far more importantly will allow the agency to help clients develop their marketing across the increasingly diverse range of media channels, driven by a passion for achieving results.
