Burger King is heading to McDonald's for fries - and for a worthy cause, writes LBB's Addison Capper
Tomorrow (Saturday 11th December), Burger King Poland is heading to McDonald's for fries. And no, this isn't some final decision of which fast food chain makes the best fried potatoes. This Saturday, McDonald's Poland is donating one Polish Zloty to the Ronald McDonald Houses Foundation for every serving of fries sold, and Burger King - as part of a campaign by 180heartbeats + JUNG v. MATT - is selflessly supporting the cause. In addition to ads encouraging customers to head to its competitor for fries, Burger King Poland is also offering a free Whopper Junior for every person who can show proof of purchase from that day of McDonald's fries.
"In Burger King we want the world to be a better place and we know that our guests feel the same way," said Zuzanna Kilar-Tyczynska, brand manager at Burger King Poland. "That is why, not for the first and not the last time, we are involved in a cause that can change the lives of many families for the better. Matters such as helping the needy are beyond all divisions."
This neat initiative from the two fast food behemoths is a welcome entry into this week's Work of the Week. Check out the rest of the selection below.
