Work of the Week: 01/10/21

A Belgian railway ad has LBB's Addison Capper daydreaming about daydreaming

Work of the Week: 01/10/21

A significant downside to modern life and all of its portable devices is our growing inability to simply look up and around. Think about daydreaming. Who even does that anymore? My face is usually too deep into my phone to spare any time for such idle activity.

But daydreaming, is a glorious thing that can lead to all manner of weird and wonderful thoughts. And do you know where some of the best daydreaming can happen? When we're not wrapped up in binging reruns of The Office on our phones? On trains.

And this little rant about daydreaming is a roundabout way of telling you that a lovely film for the Belgian railway system NMBS is in our Work of the Week. Created by TBWA and directed by Czar.be's Joe Vanhoutteghem, the spot shows multiple characters staring out the window as it transforms into a projection of their thoughts, ambitions and dreams. You get it? They are daydreaming.

Anyway, check it out below, along with the rest of our picks.
