Wonderhood Studios Welcomes Natasha Johnson as Head of Film

Natasha Johnson joins Wonderhood Studios this January as the agency’s first head of film. Natasha joins from Wieden+Kennedy London, where she has been for the last two years.

During her time at Wieden+Kennedy, Natasha worked across a host of accounts, including Visa, Gumtree, Nike and Intuit QuickBooks. She was also the agency’s representative for the recently formed Unsigned Union and is passionate about its mission to celebrate, support and give access to more diverse creators.

In her new role at Wonderhood Studios, Natasha will be responsible for overseeing the film production department, working across the agency’s client roster to ensure a level of craft and creativity in all its commercial productions. Natasha will report into the agency’s founders.

Throughout her career, Natasha has had stints at BMB and Grey London as producer and deputy head of production respectively. At both agencies, Natasha also gained a wealth of experience in longer form branded content. Most recently at Grey, Natasha was the Executive Producer for News UK (The Sun & The Times) and Nomad Foods; and produced the multi-awarded Volvo Sky Atlantic idents and mini documentary series 'Human Made Stories.’

Natasha has also spent time production company-side, working as executive producer at the award-winning studio Archers Mark. Here, she worked across commercials and branded entertainment.

Speaking about her appointment, Natasha said: "I will be forever proud and thankful for my time at Wieden+Kennedy, but the opportunity to join Wonderhood Studios at such an exciting time in its evolution proved impossible to pass up. The energy, creative vision and warmth of Aidan, Alex and Jess was hugely inspiring and quite frankly, joining their team to help push Wonderhood's Production offering to a new level was a no brainer for me".

Aidan McClure, founder and chief creative officer, added: “Very excited to welcome Natasha to the Wonderhood family who will help guide and build our ridiculously talented production team. She comes with a wealth of experience from both the agency and production side of the business, which will be invaluable when crafting films that get our clients talked about.”
