WIZZdesign has much to celebrate from the results of the prestigious ADC 93rd Annual Awards as the work of WIZZ collective CRCR was honored three times at the ceremony held in Miami.
CRCR picked up a Silver Cube in Animation for their expertly crafted spot, Deezer "Music Unleashed," which was produced by WIZZdesign for the agency BEING. CRCR also was recognized for their artistic abilities, winning a Bronze Cube in Art Direction for the '70s sci-fi universe they created from scratch for the music video "Delta."
In more good news, a collaborative project they worked on for Cartoon Network, "Summer Refresh," which saw CRCR work with five other animators, also picked up a Bronze Cube for Animation.
CRCR is a French collective whose members met at Gobelins, the most famous animation school in Paris. Their first animated short "JESUS 2000," made during their internship at WIZZdesign, won the web competition HAFFtube at the Holland Animation Film Festival. Their second film, "Todor & Petru," a mixture of live action and animation, garnered international attention and was picked up for broadcast. This film cemented CRCR as mix-media innovators with modern, graphic and quirky style.
Since then, CRCR has made music videos and commercials with increasing energy and artistic vision, and have recently completed two solo exhibitions of their work. WIZZdesign and CRCR are partners with FRIEND in London and represented by Blacklist in New York.
