The campaign from Spanish brand Loewe tells a surreal Christmas tale, with live action and stop animation inspired by British arts and crafts ceramicist William De Morgan. The film titled 'An Otter’s Tale' was directed by Nina Gantz at Blinkink and features the brand’s new capsule collection.
Terence was commissioned to compose a choral work for the brand, which was recorded with The Brighton Festival Chorus, comprising 120 singers.
About the campaign, Nina Gantz states that “The Brief from Loewe was to create a film that brings the world of British Arts and Craft ceramicist William De Morgan to life. It was an amazing world to dive into? [...] Throughout, the action is accompanied by choral music composed for the campaign by Terence Dunn"
Terence Dunn is known for his work in film, TV, games and theatre. After completing a Masters in Composing for Film and Television at the National Film and Television School, Terence collaborated with Sean McAllister on his BAFTA nominated documentary 'A Syrian Love Story' (BBC/Netflix).
Terence’s score for the BAFTA winning animation 'Edmond' won best score at the Watersprite film festival with the film going on to win at both the British Independent film awards and Sundance. He was also selected by Screen International in 2019 as a 'Star of Tomorrow’. His commercially released albums include ‘Man Made Noise’ and as a contributor to ‘All Night North’, which was a compilation of Philip Larkin’s poetry set to music.
