Whitehouse Post Editor Brian May Makes Move to Chicago Office

Brian May’s journey at Whitehouse Post continues as the editor, who’s crisscrossed the company’s network from Los Angeles to Amsterdam to New York over the course of a decade, relocates to Chicago.

A native of the Midwest, May joined Whitehouse Post Los Angeles in 2007. May grew within the company, polishing his skills and collaborating with top-tier agencies including Ogilvy, Sid Lee, McCann, Leo Burnett, and DDB. “Whitehouse Post has been one of the greatest journeys for me,” he says. “I started as a runner, then assistant and was honoured to be added as an editor to Whitehouse’s roster in 2013.  That comes with a great responsibility to represent it well and work incredibly hard.”

Throughout his time at Whitehouse Post, May uses his talent on campaigns for a variety of notable brands including YouTube, Google/Squarespace, Microsoft, S.C. Johnson & Son, and fashion designer Derek Lam. Known for his work in commercials as well as music videos and short-form, Chicago represents an exciting new adventure. “It has been such a great opportunity to work all over the world and I’ve learned a lot from those experiences.  Having grown up in the Midwest, I’ve always loved Chicago, and now that I have a family it just felt like the timing was perfect to return and put down roots.  Whitehouse has been like a family to me, with incredible people who care about the work as much as they do about each other.  I’m joining yet another wonderful Whitehouse location and already feel confident about the near future.”

“We are very happy to welcome Brian to Chicago,” says Whitehouse Post Partner/ Editor Matthew Wood. In addition to being one of the nicest guys around, his talent for both comedy and strong visual storytelling speaks for itself.”
