Westside Studio Welcomes Emmy-Nominated Director Carla Dauden for Exclusive Canadian Representation

Westside Studio has signed director Carla Dauden for commercial representation in Canada. 

Carla’s narrative driven filmmaking style tells human stories, through a stylish and cinematic lens. Her distinctive style is exemplified in her work for Disney, Amazon, Johnnie Walker, Google, Facebook, DoorDash, and Mercedes Benz. In 2019, her campaign for Disney's ‘Team of Heroes’ was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award.

“We were immediately drawn to Carla’s work. She is an exceptionally versatile director, able to seamlessly blend genres and styles to best complement the creative for a given project,” said Ellie Winston, executive producer.

Carla approaches filmmaking as an opportunity to create a social impact, and empower empathy. In 2021, she completed her first feature film, ‘The Hosts,’ which investigates the human rights violations perpetrated through preparations for the World Cup in Brazil.

In addition to her commercial work, Carla has also directed episodic television, most recently for the critically acclaimed TV show, Good Trouble.
