Global production company We Fly Coach has added Allison Cantor as Executive Producer in its West Coast office. Cantor, who was previously Managing Director of sister animatics company Animated Storyboards, will lead global marketing and sales for the production company as well as oversee production out of We Fly Coach’s West Coast studio. She brings with her nearly a decade of experience in marketing, business development and brand strategy for creative companies across production and post production. Cantor will also work on sourcing new talent for We Fly Coach, expanding its diverse directorial roster to accommodate the influx of nontraditional projects that they have seen in the past several years.
Notes We Fly Coach Partner and Executive Producer Elizabeth Benson, "My past experience working with Allison at Animated Storyboards showed her passion for filmmaking and her keen eye for talent. Her years of experience in production, business development, and marketing make her the perfect fit for this role in our company."
“It feels like the sky's the limit for how We Fly Coach can leverage its resources and talent for whatever creative challenges are thrown at us,” adds Cantor. “We have clients coming to us not only for broadcast projects, but also a lot of nontraditional work that requires out-of-the-box thinking and creative strategy, which is exciting to be a part of. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow We Fly Coach’s LA presence and work with the rest of the team to increase our exposure internationally.”
After studying Communications at Indiana University of Bloomington, Cantor spent a brief stint in the legal space in NYC before shifting to entertainment marketing, landing in Digital Distribution at MTV Networks. In 2010, she joined Animated Storyboards as Marketing Director in NYC, handling marketing, new business, branding and team development for the North American market. In 2012, she made her way to the West Coast to launch their Santa Monica studio, spearheading the growth of the studio’s Los Angeles presence as well as working closely with global marketing, sales and production teams. Cantor was promoted to Global Marketing Director in 2014, overseeing marketing efforts across the animatics company’s 10 international offices.
