DAZN, the leading global sports streaming platform, has acquired global rights to broadcast the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the next four seasons, from 2021-25. To further grow the sport, DAZN has also entered a ground-breaking partnership with YouTube to show matches live and free for fans around the world for the first time. This marks the first time UEFA has centralized all Women’s Champions League matches globally.
To announce the partnership DAZN has teamed with the Ridley Scott Creative Group’s Black Dog Films and director Alyssa Boni on ‘We ALL Rise With More Eyes’ - the debut content on DAZN’s new UEFA Women’s Champions League YouTube channel.
With a voice over from UK rapper FLOHIO, the film forms a collage of stills, animations, training and competition footage showing grass roots football alongside global superstars like Ada Hegerberg, Lucy Bronze, Sam Kerr, and Wendie Renard. Working with Final Cut and Unit, Alyssa brings to life the incredible ripple effect that more eyes will undoubtedly have on the game, turning more players and teams into household names, and inspiring the next generation of players – all of which starts with more people around the world watching the game.
"I’m extremely grateful to be one of the story tellers helping to bring visibility to women’s football. I always aim to empower with my work, so I'm delighted to collaborate with DAZN and YouTube to feature these incredible athletes and encourage more future female champs on the pitch," said Alyssa Boni.
