Newest film in 'Unleash' series gets people out & into the painting aisle this spring

WCRS Unleashes Painting Pro Power in Latest B&Q Ad

B&Q, the UK’s largest DIY retailer, is launching a ‘Paint Pro’ TV ad on 16th April, as part of its ‘Unleash the B&Q in you’ campaign. 

The ad, created by WCRS, intends to get people up off their sofas and down to the paint aisle at their nearest B&Q. It focuses on the knowledge and expertise that the B&Q paint staff - Paint Pros - can offer you in store. 

The 30-second spot will run across ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky and a wide range of other digital channels. 


The ad focuses on the story of a man and a woman, who lack the inspiration to fix up their respective homes until they get the professional advice about the right paint from a B&Q Paint Pro. The service provided to them enables each of the characters to decorate their houses without any trouble. 

The ad is part of B&Q’s ‘Unleash the B&Q in you’ campaign, which launched in Easter 2014. The ad was written by Dave Cornmell with art direction by Jane Briers and Ross Neil was the Executive Creative Director on the ad. It was directed by Olly Williams through Another Film Company.

It’s a great way of showcasing the fantastic service that B&Q deliver in a way that is utterly synergistic with the Unleash world that we have spent the last year building.”
