One of
biggest events to be cancelled during the pandemic was Eurovision. Watched by
over 180M people, Wavemaker's client Netflix picked up the distribution rights to
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. Wavemaker's brief was to launch the
movie and create big, bold PR.
Netflix has historically dismissed radio, but with listeners at an all-time high, it was the time to provoke our client into thinking again.
Wavemaker created Magic: Eurosong, a pop-up radio station dedicated to Eurovision music. For 10 days, it played winning Eurovision songs and all the eccentric acts that make the contest so beloved.
