Wave Studios Launches Edit Company

From the people who brought you Wave Studios comes Magic Edit. A nimble collection of editors working in London and Amsterdam across promos, commercials, content and feature films with craft, creativity and equality at its very core.

Being the sister company to Academy Award and BAFTA nominated international audio post production studio Wave, naturally Magic Edit is only going to have the best talent. 

Vanessa Wood’s work includes the world's first ever zero carbon commercial shoot for Hitachi directed by Ivan Bird and short film "CAKE" starring Letitia Wright (Black Panther) and Maxine Peake (Black Mirror) which won the ‘best short film’ at Kinsale and the London Independent Film Awards.

During Vanessa’s career to date she’s cut numerous campaigns for household name brands including Tesco, Zara, Habitat, Sainsbury’s, Samsung, McDonalds, NatWest, BBC, Asda, Iceland, Morrisons and more. 

Alongside Vanessa, Sam Hopkins joins Magic having worked for some of the world’s best advertising agencies and post production houses including The Mill, Grey, AMV BBDO and Park Village. 

He is ranked 15th of D&AD’s list of Top 100 Editors in 2022 and he recently completed his first feature documentary Overheated, a climate film featuring Billie Eilish, Vivienne Westwood and Yung Blud which was released globally. 

His latest feature documentary will be broadcast on UK television in April.

Sam brings a huge range of exciting campaigns to his reel for high profile clients such as Google, Adidas, Under Armour, EA, Rolex, Red Bull and Dior to name a few.

All of this creative brilliance is presided over by executive producer Katie Truelove. With over 20 years industry experience, Katie has worked at some of the finest edit houses in London including TenThree, The Quarry, The Assembly Rooms and most recently Gramercy Park Studios.

With edit suites in London’s heart of Soho and Amsterdam’s popular Herengracht district it will only be a matter of time before Magic Edit will be vying for most awarded edit facility as part of the Wave Collective!
